Bryce 3D in 2025?! How to export DnB Art on Windows95
Hey Gamers!
Made a new video talking about how to export Bryce 3D images from a Windows 95 virtual machine to your host machine! I have been experimenting with Bryce 3D and so far I like the interface and retro vibes it brings.
Bryce 3D is a animation and modeling software that was developed in the 90’s and it was known for its ability to create surreal and dreamy landscapes and environments. Unfortunately it has become much more obscure and modern tools like Blender are the industry standard now.
It is also a good program to make early 2000’s Drum & Bass album covers. It took awhile to get it all working but Bryce 3D is defiantly a neat piece of software that I will be messing with more!
I had to find a copy of Bryce 3D on the Internet Archive along with a Windows95 ISO image to use with VMWare Workstation Pro (which is free now!). The setup process took awhile and then I was stuck trying to figure out how to get my images off of the virtual machine onto my host machine! The video above shows all the steps I took to get the images.
I think it is important to keep software like this alive and see what new creations can be made from it!
Here is a image I rendered:

See ya next time!
